In 2009 the Institute´s budget amounted to about 13.5 million euros. Compared to the previous year it increased by about 10 percent. One important contribution for the renewed growth is the executed buildup of the new working group NanoPolyPhotonic. |

The investment volume amounted to 1.3 million euros. Additionally 1.3 million euros were spent for equipment out of the basic load fund.

Human resources
At the end of 2009 the Fraunhofer IAP employed 161 people. The temporary and permanent staff consited of 136 people, thereof 65 scientific staff, 61 technical staff and 10 adminsitration.
The junior staff assembled 19 Ph.D. students and 6 apprentices. The Fraunhofer IAP employed 34 trainees, students, graduands and scholarship holders in 2009 additionally.
